The Tomb (or crypt) directly under the chapel was created by count John Pálffy at the turn of the 19^th and 20^th centuries. He planned to create it for himself and his relatives. In the centre of the tomb, in a sarcophagus, are the remains of count John Pálffy, who died in Vienna on 2 June 1908. His parents, Francis Alois Pálffy (1780 - 1852) and Natalia née Erdődy (1803 - 1845), are buried by the wall. In the anteroom of the tomb is buried the former Bishop of Nitra and Chancellor of Hungary Thomas Pálffy (1623 - 1679). Although he was not one of the owners of the Bojnice manor, he was a family ancestor whom count Pálffy held in high esteem and therefore wished his remains to be placed in Bojnice.
