Food Preparation Room

The next room was formerly designed as a Food Preparation Room. The kitchen was located below us and food was to be brought here by a hand-powered elevator, which was supposed to be located behind the door (but was never installed). The food was to be served in this room and from here distributed to the feasting gentry. The large sideboard displays pewter plates, tankards and earthenware jugs made in Germany in the 19th century. The unique bronze grille, which closed another room, was made by the Bratislava firm Louis Márton and son, artistic blacksmithery.
